Knowledgeable staff will provide guidance during tours, and visitors should follow safety guidelines and respect the animals' needs and preferences.

Some animals enjoy being petted, while others prefer to keep their distance. Visitors should pay attention to the animals' behavior and body language, and never pursue or force interaction.

For those animals that enjoy human interaction, it's recommended to approach slowly and calmly, let the animal initiate contact, and be mindful of their body language and behavior.

The sanctuary's name was inspired by Buddhist teachings, yet we feel that cultivating compassion can be reached through multiple paths and traditions. Our focus is on fostering compassion and taking action towards love and peace, regardless of the specific path or tradition one follows.

As a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization, the sanctuary is tax-exempt and can receive tax-deductible donations.

No. We welcome individuals with a range of dietary preferences and habits. We believe that everyone has something to contribute. Whether you are an omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, or have other dietary preferences, we encourage you to join us. The Jewel Farm Sanctuary values inclusivity and acceptance and celebrates our members' diversity. Compassion must extend to all!

We encourage and promote veganism because it is a powerful tool for ending animal cruelty and suffering. We view it as a lifestyle choice that creates a more compassionate and sustainable world.

While we do have a sponsorship program, where you may choose to give financial support to a specific animal, our rescue animals are not available for adoption because we are committed to providing them with lifelong care.

Many of our animals have special needs or have been through traumatic experiences, and we believe they deserve a stable and loving home for the rest of their lives. While we don't offer adoption, we partner with local shelters to promote adoptable animals in the area.

At Jewel Farm Sanctuary, we provide a lifelong home for farmed animals. The animals already at our sanctuary have come to us from a range of situations, including rescues and safe, loving homes. As we transition from a hobby farm to a sanctuary, we have decided to expand to offer sanctuary to other farmed animals in need.

Now we take in abused, neglected, unwanted, and injured animals from a range of sources. These sources include transfers from other sanctuaries and rescue groups, direct intake from farmers who plan to dispose of unwanted animals, and animals that have been seized by law enforcement due to abuse, neglect, or escape.

Our commitment is to provide a permanent, compassionate home for these unique and deserving individuals.

While we wish we could provide sanctuary for every animal in need, we unfortunately have limited capacity. Though we have limited space at the moment, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us if you know of an animal who needs sanctuary. We will utilize all available resources, including our network of sanctuary partners, to assist in finding a safe and loving home for the animal, whether that is with us or elsewhere.
